The definitive source for media technology intelligence

Our Story

A guide through the media technology landscape

The honeyguide is an African bird that does something no other wild creature does: it leads people through dense bush to hidden beehives. A treasure that would have been hard to find alone over long distances.

We take our inspiration from it.

The media technology landscape is vast, fragmented, and loud. Every publisher is trying to make sense of it. Most are drowning in the vastness of options, not shortage of them.

That's where Ingedelo comes in. We work with media technologists and their technology partners to cut through the noise to lead you to the solutions that matter for your business.

“We take our name from the Zulu word for the honeyguide bird — a creature that has guided people to hidden value for centuries. Ingedelo guides publishers through the complexity of media technology in the same way.”

What We Do

A directory and a newsletter, held to the same editorial standard

Ingedelo combines a comprehensive vendor directory with a weekly editorial newsletter, giving publishers a single trusted source for media technology intelligence.

The Vendor Directory

Hundreds of technology vendors serving publishing and news — from content management and audience development to monetisation, data analytics, and editorial tools. Each listing provides structured, comparable information so publishers can identify, evaluate, and shortlist the vendors that matter for their specific needs.

Listings are available at three tiers: Entry (standard presence), Plus (enhanced detail and visibility), and Pro (maximum visibility, priority placement, and inclusion in relevant editorial coverage).

The Ingedelo Briefing

Every week our editorial team publishes The Ingedelo Briefing — an independent newsletter read by publishing professionals across the globe. We cover technology trends, vendor developments, platform migrations, and the broader forces shaping how news organisations build and operate their technology stacks.

We interview technology leaders, hold vendors to account, and surface intelligence publishers can act on. Our editorial is independent: we are not paid to recommend, and we do not accept advertising in our editorial content.

Our Values

What We Stand For

Independence

Our editorial judgement is never for sale. Paid listings earn visibility, not preferential coverage.

Clarity

We cut through complexity to deliver intelligence you can use. No jargon. No filler.

Rigour

Everything we publish is grounded in evidence and expertise. Claims are verified before they reach you.

Integrity

We say what we mean, and we stand behind what we publish. Corrections are made in public.

Impact

We measure our success by the quality of the decisions our users make — not by the size of our audience.
